A great summer dress is a key building block of any summer wardrobe as you can just throw it on and immediately look put together while staying cool. Go for a style you can wear with a range of footwear from sandals to pumps and espadrilles.
Summer in the city, whether you're on holiday or working, calls for a pair of lightweight trousers in linen or breathable cotton. This season, look for flattering mid-waist, wide-leg styles.
The straw bag should work well in the city as much as it does on holiday. Choose a bag with leather or canvas straps for added comfort, and a roomy style that you can squeeze your towel into when it comes to beach time.
A good quality white cotton tee will become one of the hardest working pieces in your summer wardrobe – perfect for throwing on with a pair of jeans, shorts, or a floaty skirt.
A great holiday cover-up doesn't have to be a kaftan; it could be a stylish sarong paired with a floaty shirt or tee – anything that protects you from the sun's rays.
When it comes to heels, warm weather calls for relaxed, open-toed styles that you can throw on to instantly dress up any outfit from day to night.
If you have stubborn skin concerns such as sagging or loose skin, stretch marks or scarring and fine lines then Infini RF Microneedling could be the saving grace you are looking for! Our Infini treatment provides non-surgical cosmetic treatments on the face, neck and body. The device uses a combination of micro-needle technology and radio-frequency energy, which can be precisely targeted to problem areas on the face and body.
High-intensity focused radio frequency micro-needling rejuvenates the skin by boosting collagen production. It improves wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and tightens the skin, which gives an overall tightening and lifting effect, as well as improving the appearance of the skin on the surface.
Enzyme therapy stimulates collagen production, restoring structural integrity back to the skin. It is a non-invasive facial treatment that is suitable for a wide range of skin conditions such as ageing skin, sun damage, pigmentation, acne, congestion, rosacea and sensitivity.
Enzyme therapy treatments improve the skin's ability to function by dissolving dead cells and impurities trapped in the skin. This in turn restores vital cellular nutrition and oxygenation required for cellular regeneration. This treatment also features an element of relaxation while the mask sets making it perfect for those cold, rainy days when you just want to be tucked up in a warm treatment bed!
We have a number of Enzyme treatments available at FaceTime, your therapist can recommend the best option for you and your skin needs.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also known as medical micro-needling, is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is an effective treatment for acne scarring. As we get older, pollution and lifestyle habits take their toll on our skin. Our skin’s renewal process slows down as we age. Dermapen4 Collagen Induction is a safe, natural way to improve the look and health of your skin and boost that renewal process. Over the course of treatments, collagen fibres are strengthened giving you younger, stronger, firmer-looking skin.
All of the treatments mentioned above can be safely performed at any time of year, but while our skin has more downtime and less sun exposure, winter makes for the perfect opportunity to kickstart your results! We always recommend a skin consultation with one of our highly trained and knowledgeable therapists to figure out the best course of action and products for your skin needs. The INFINI RF (Radio-Frequency) device is state-of-the-art technology for skin tightening and rejuvenation. It uses your own body’s healing response to boost collagen within the skin through delivery of radio frequency heat waves, and micro-needling.
Unlike other RF treatments, INFINI has adjustable, insulated microneedles to deliver precise thermal (heating) energy at varying depths targeting collagen remodelling for a variety of skin conditions, thus making it a versatile multi skin treatment apparatus. INFINI’S advanced energy delivery system offers significantly higher, yet safer heating, with less discomfort, downtime and risks associated with other Fraxel and Laser systems.
With an experienced provider, the face treatment takes about 45 minutes, and if the neck is included, add another 15 minutes.
The initial redness subsides very rapidly in the first hour. It takes about 24-36 hours to resolve, as does the swelling. Rarely, patients report extend redness for a few more days.
To hasten your skin’s recovery, clients who undergo an INFINI RF Skin Tightening treatment receive a complimentary skin soothing and calming HEALITE II LED therapy at the end of each session.
Skin care must be only the prescribed creams. No make up until the morning and care with touching the skin with unclean hands or towels. There are no activity or sun restrictions!
It does vary from person to person. To get maximum benefit, the general consensus is 3. Some people might be happy with only one, but that is uncommon. Younger patients wanting only preventative treatments can get one yearly. Acne scarring clients should consider at least 3, and might be more satisfied with 5 or 6.
Consecutive treatments can be done as close as 3 or 4 weeks. If this is not possible because of your schedule, don’t worry, the final results are not affected.
We do dumb the skin with a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream). The areas which might be higher are over the bone, such as the forehead, cheeks, and jawline. All patients report no discomfort when the procedure is complete.
We routinely treat the neck and chest in conjunction with the face treatment. Other areas we have treated are arm laxity, knee area, and scars from abdominal surgery. Stretch marks have been treated but results are variable. We have successfully treated hyperhidrosis with the Infini as well. Bottom line is that when appropriate depths and settings are used, the Infini can be used on all areas of the body.
Each area is treated at least with 3 depths and 2 passes for each depth. Some areas area treated at 4 or 5 depths.
Very few patients wouldn’t be candidates. Patients with pacemakers should not be treated. If there is metal in an area of the face, the skin overlying this area can not be treated. Patients on blood thinners can be treated but will get bruising. We try to hold all thinners if it is possible prior to treatment. Aspirin needs 12 days for it’s action to be completely reversed on the platelets. Patients with severely sun damaged skin will theoretically respond less than a person with healthy skin.
The Infini is safer than a laser, with less downtime, and no risk to the eyes. Lasers have the risk of pigment changes (darker or lighter). Results from Infini appear to be better than lasers for acne scars. It is postulated the the increased depths of the Infini (up to 3.5mm) vs lasers (maximum about 1.8mm) seems to the difference. Also, elastin is produced (elastinosis) in response to a RF treatment, and this is not the case in laser resurfacing.
This is a difficult question and will be different for each patient. The collagen created will last at least 7 years. However, the amount of collagen is variable, and depends on the overall skin health, patient’s health, smoking habits, age, tanning, sun exposure, and lifestyle. It is usually recommended to have a “touch up” performed every 12-18 months.

]]>We believe skin needling with Dermapen 4™ is the ultimate way to achieve outstanding results for skin that looks and feels amazing. But with different skin needling techniques and trends doing the rounds, it can get a tad confusing. Before we explore the differences, here’s a quick refresher on skin needling.
Skin needling often goes by different names—collagen induction therapy, dermal needling, dermal rolling and microneedling. Overall, the treatment concept is similar—to create injuries on the skin to activate the skin’s natural response to rejuvenate and repair.
And while skin needling can be used to assist with skin concerns such as ageing, pigmentation, acne and stretch marks, the truth is, not all treatments are created equal. There are factors to consider such as safety, downtime, pain levels and results, to name a few. Let’s take a look at dermal rollers and microneedling with Dermapen 4™.
A dermal roller is a hand-held tool with a spinning wheel studded with exposed needles on one end, and a handle at the other end. Yes, it looks like something you’d find in an old toolbox! It’s manually rolled over the skin and has an intense prickly sensation so numbing cream is a must. (Allow 30-45 minutes for the cream to work). This technique leaves skin looking red and raw so patients should wait eight weeks between clinic appointments.
Dermapen 4 is a digital hand-held device that has a triggering motion whereby very fine needles systematically puncture the skin. It’s virtually pain-free and works fast. While some patients may experience redness, this quickly settles down with the application of Dp Dermaceuticals™ COVER RECOVER™, which also helps skin heal fast. In-clinic treatments are 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Now let’s dig deeper into the difference between these methods for skin rejuvenation.
Dermapen 4 allows professionals to change the speed and depth of the needle with the touch of a button during an in-clinic treatment. This makes it easy to customise microneedling for different areas of the skin and for tackling specific skin conditions, including scars! It’s the only microneedling pen with a dedicated scar treatment setting, penetrating a depth of 3mm.
The needles on a dermal roller are uniform so they’ll only enter the skin at one depth. The only other option is to have a few dermal rollers on hand with different needle depths, but swapping between them is a fiddly process. The maximum depth of a dermal roller is 1.5mm so unlike Dermapen 4 it won’t penetrate as deep into the skin. Curious to know why dermal rollers have less needle depth?
Although microneedling and dermal rolling both create micro-injuries to skin, the end results are very different. Microneedling creates micro-channels whereas dermal rollers create micro-tears. If the needles for dermal rollers had more length (needle depth), imagine how much more traumatic that would be to skin.
Because of its design, the needles on a dermal roller enter and exit the skin at an angle. This process leaves skin looking extremely inflamed which means longer downtime, plus there’s a greater risk of infection.
Microneedling with Dermapen 4 uses a straight oscillating motion so there’s no dragging of the skin. The technique creates micro-channels that deliver the powerful actives in Dp Dermaceuticals™ serums deep into the skin. Together they help stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to enhance skin regeneration.
While dermal rollers have been around for decades, they have not changed much in their design or functionality. Dermapen 4 by DermapenWorld is the latest device since the launch of the first microneedling system in 2010. With the release of each device over the years, new benchmarks in the industry have been set and DermapenWorld has won many awards. It’s good to know you’re on a winner!
Dermapen 4 glides effortlessly over skin and can work up to 104% faster than other microneedling pen—but remember speed can be adjusted for comfort and precision. Its sleek design allows easy grip and control. One slip of the hand when using a dermal roller and there could be a bloody mess!
The small tip of Dermapen 4 makes it easy to reach areas such as under the eye, nose and upper lip. These areas are difficult, if not impossible to target with dermal rollers.
And finally, the 16-needle cartridge in Dermapen 4 can create up to 1,920 micro-channels in a single second. Now that’s efficiency you can’t beat.

Preheat the oven to 425F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Use a pastry cutter to cut in the cold butter or you can use your hands. The mixture should still have chunks of butter. Toss in the raspberries to coat them with the mixture.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, lemon juice, egg and vanilla until combined and then add to the dry ingredients. Use your hands or a rubber spatula to carefully mix the ingredients together until a dough forms. Try not to overmix.
Shape the dough into a 2” thick circle. Cut into 8 triangles. Separate the triangles and place them on the baking sheet. Brush the scones with milk or an egg wash and bake for 18-20 minutes and golden brown. Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over scones.
